Bill Bailey and Melvin Johnson have been creating, recording, and performing together for over forty years. Their individual roots and influences bring a renewed strength to every song they deliver.

The two collided at the legendary Mirror Image Studio in Uptown Minneapolis in the early 80's and never looked back.

They founded the band Billy Club in 1986 which produced two full length releases and countless live shows in the Midwest USA. After a period of individual writing and recording, they have reunited to continue their endless spontaneous and creative collaborating  through words and music. 

What sets Dark Capricorn apart from the rest is simply their diverse and contrasting inner souls....each delivering their own voice-tone and timbre, lyric and prose.....creating the obviously original and synergetic songs before you.

Dark Capricorn doesn't concern themselves with making any particular song sound like the last piece written. Acknowledging their genre freedom, they are acceptably unmarketable. Instead, Bailey and Johnson live for the  creative journey of each individual song and it's outcome, wherever it may lead them, becoming yet another piece in the Dark Capricorn puzzle.
